Cash in for big summer savings
Summer is here with sunshine and hot days. For many people, summer means time with family and friends, vacations, daily outings, parties and more. If you plan on doing some traveling by car this summer, many credit cards offer special cash back incentives on gas purchases. Starting July 1st and running through September 30th, the Discover More card offer 5% cash back on gas purchases up to $400 per month. If you’re a Costco member, using the Costco American Express earns you 3% cash back at every gas station, including Costco gas stations. If you’re an Executive member at Costco, you’ll earn an additional 2% on your gas purchases for a total savings of 5%.
Groceries
Nothing says summer as much as a hot grill loaded with steak, ribs, burgers and hot dogs. Plus, don’t forget other necessities like the watermelon, chips, drinks and lots, lots more. All Kroger-branded grocery stores now offer a 10% bonus on groceries until July 31st when you buy $300, $600 or $1,200 in grocery gift cards. Kroger will add respectively add $30, $60 or $120 to your gift card purchase(s). Using a cash back card to buy Kroger gift cards helps you save even more on all your backyard essentials. Using the American Express Blue Cash credit card can help you save up to another 5% on all your grocery purchases any time during the year.
