Rather Dissatisfied Review by Dissatisfied

I had anticipated a pleasant experience when I signed up for this card, but after receiving the card, I grew rather dissatisfied.

What they don't tell you when you sign up for the card is this:
You may only access your online account if you sign away your right to a paper copy of your statement and any other document that they wish to provide only in electronic form.
That's right - you have to sign away your right to having a hard copy of a statement. I'm sure that electronic records would hold up in court (**cough cough** no they won't) if you're ever on the losing end of a dispute.

Furthermore, you can only access your awards earnings if you have agreed to these ridiculous terms of use.

1% and a rotating 5% might be nice, but that could easily get defeated if some "mistake" occurred which screws you over.

My suggestion to Chase was to change their policy - which they have not done.

My suggestion to YOU: Get the Discover More card instead. It doesn't have this cheesy clause attached to it. (Posted on 10/3/2011)

They were great at the beginning and now 3 years later I can't get them to increase my limit to use this card for business. The reason is rather vague and my credit is excellent. There are better cards out there, or there has to be. (Posted on 5/21/2011)
Not as Good Anymore Review by Joseph Smith

You used to get maximum cash back when they didn't try to dictate what you buy. This rotating category business is b.s. My credit card will not influence what I should and should not buy. I just want to get maximum cash back regardless of what I buy. I'm switching to a 2% cash back card (or maybe Venture), ill get more overall bang for my buck, even with an annual fee. I really like the Freedom card because I just like to get cash back. If you want cash as your reward Chase Freedom is the way to go. When I first got the card they had 3% cash back on everything under the approved list, but now they do a point system. Have not seen a huge change in the amount I get back. (Posted on 3/11/2011)
